Publishers' Note:

In Staunch Support of the Lebanese Army!
Although the main focus of
LCNJ is to preserve, promote and celebrate our Lebanese Culture and love for life, LCNJ does not shy away from stepping up to the responsibility to defend Lebanon and staunchly support the Lebanese Army.

The Lebanese Army is the shining proof that Lebanon and the World are not at war with Islam and good Moslems... but rather at war against  "radical Islamist terrorists" throughout the world.

You are either with the terrorists or against them.  There is no middle ground.  The true martyr is the Lebanese soldier who falls defending Lebanon and the "Lebanese way of life".

A terrorist mule who blows himself up and kills innocent people is never a martyr... He is just a murderer.  He will not have 70 vestal virgins waiting for him.  He will have a special place for him in Hell with 70 hardened criminal dudes who blew themselves before him waiting to give him the Vaseline treatment... without the Vaseline!...

The victory of the legitimate Lebanese Army in the Nahr El Bared Camp against the terrorist militants is a turning point in Lebanon's history... one that  shatters the invincibility myth of the suicidal Gangster Mentality and “7arb el 3isaabaat”.... Welcome Contributions from Fellow Lebanese

I started planting the seed of good in my messages of hope on www.LCNJ.com 4 years ago, and, in spite of the prevailing "7ill 3anni, ma ili jlede.. let someone else do it" attitude in the Lebanese Community,  now I take pride in seeing the fruit of my labor blossom in the form of powerful contributions from my fellow Lebanese in the Lebanese Community worldwide.

Working smart means never having to duplicate what another solid Lebanese has done masterfully... So, the following articles by Nayla, Dunia and Faris deserve full credit on their own merit and for saving me the time and energy to address such powerful topics... and, most importantly, for stepping forward and "making a difference".

An inalienable Birth Right Slaughtered!...

ALL children of ALL Lebanese parents have an inalienable Right to carry Lebanese Citizenship!... Stop the SHAMELESS gender discriminating against Lebanese mothers and stop disenfranchising generations of Lebanese children.  Since when did the father become the primary parent in raising our Lebanese children that the Lebanese mother, to date, has absolutely NO right whatsoever to pass Lebanese citizenship to her children?  Anyone who turns the other way and does not speak loud and clear in defense of Lebanese mothers and their children should hold their face in shame.

A Northern Lebanese Sunset
by Faris - D.T.A=Doors To Aspiration

Speaking of sunsets, as I was driving back home the day before yesterday, I saw the biggest red hot sun barely touching the water of our gorgeous Mediterranean sea, I started slowing down, I really wanted to pull over to the side just to watch it disappear into the darkness of a Northern Lebanese Night with a promise to come back again early on a quiet summer morning bringing the light of hope of another brand new day for all of us Lebanese People.

Humor
Homsi Jokes

Why does a Homsi take his medicine before the time he
is supposed to take it?
- Because he wants to surprise the Bacteria

A Homsi ordered a pizza then the clerk said do you want me to cut it into 6 or 12 pieces then the Homsi said 6 I could never eat 12.

One Homsi was telling the other that in China a child is born every minute; wow, said the other, how much they have made progress in China; here it still takes 9 months!

A Homsi girl gave her boyfriend a parrot for his birthday. A couple of days she asked him how was the parrot. He replied: It tastes the same as chicken!

A Homsi once cancelled dr's appointment because he was sick!

Whenever he needed money, A Homsi would pray to God in English so his prayer would be answered in dollars instead of Liras!

A Homsi who emigrated to America decided it was time to buy a cellphone--which he did. So one day, as he was shopping at K-Mart, his phone rings. It was a friend--puzzled, he asked his friend: Ok, I gave you my cell phone number, but how did you know I was at K-Mart?!!

This joke came from Caroline
Old aunts used to come up to me at weddings, poking me in the ribs and
crackling, telling me, "You're next."

They stopped after I started doing the same thing to them at funerals.

Don't Call yourself a Christian!

Don't you dare call yourself Christian... and don't pretend to defend the right of Christians unless you "choose" to live a "good" life that follows your Christian faith...

Unless you commit to doing so, you will just live life like Flunkoo!...  Life is too short... Always use words that help not words that hurt... Think before you gossip or say something nasty to someone...

Human emotions are fragile... and the nasty word you senselessly say today may impact another for a long time...

Be a good person in the image of God!... Be a good Christian!...

The same applies to being a good Moslem... Supporting or even looking the other way vis-a-vis what terrorists are doing in the name of Islam... or promoting hate mongering of Christians will disqualify you from calling yourself a good Moslem... and will give you lifetime membership in Club Flunkoo!

Humorous Quotes

Trust in God but lock up your car.

Don't steal, government hates competition.

The pen is mightier than the sword, it’s easier to write with.

The cigarette does the smoking, you are just a sucker.

The word 'Politics' is derived from 'Poly', meaning 'Many' and 'ticks' meaning blood sucking parasites.

Go Back to Lebanon!...

As you may all know, unlike many of us, Abouna Jean has "chosen" to return to Lebanon to be with his family this summer until September.

His heartwarming message to me was to relay to all of you what he said: "I am going to Lebanon to spend money in Lebanon!... Do not let anyone stop you from going to Lebanon this summer and spend money there".

The truth I tell you... such heartfelt and noble emotion could not have come at a more appropriate time.  The terrorists, the cowards and the evil doers of ALL sides have kept many Lebanese out of Lebanon for the second year in a row...

Don't leave Lebanon to the terrorists and those who are financed by non-Lebanese powers!... Go back and recapture the beauty of your own Lebanon... This year.. and every subsequent year.

Failure to do so will lead to a Lebanon that is totally foreign to most of the Lebanese Community abroad in less than 20 years from now...

Reinventing the Lebanese

As Lebanese, a simple assessment of where we are in history leads us to reflect on ourselves, on the sorry behavior we have displayed vis-a-vis each other and the bad deeds in which many Lebanese still engage...

How can you expect the world community to have respect for the Lebanese... let alone care about what happens in Lebanon when so many of the Lebanese do not respect themselves or Lebanon?... when so many Lebanese politicians and religious figures steal public funds and spew venom against one another?... when the smallest of the Lebanese, after all that happens, still go back to "cheer" for their own "tribes" and the same rotten politicians who inflicted the wrong on Lebanon in the first place time and again?... and when the poorest of the Lebanese are paid chump change to abandon the "Lebanese way of life" and adopt doctrines and ways of life that have nothing to do with the "Lebanese way of Life".

Most world communities rally to help and empower each other... Can you, in all conscious, tell me that the Lebanese do that?... Of course not!...

How can you expect to mobilize the grass roots and have a strong unified worldwide Lebanese community with "credible" objectives and an influential voice when many of the Lebanese still go about their lives being self-serving, short tempered, quick to judge, quick to anger, and quick to make enemies with other Lebanese?

How can the Lebanese be taken seriously when the absolute majority of the Lebanese still gossip, whine, and do nothing to make a difference?

How can the Lebanese gain any positive momentum when all they do is get jealous of and knock down the outstanding positive persons that are making a difference for Lebanon?

How can we Reinvent ourselves?

"Nabil... you are right!... we all have screwed up in a way or another!... and we all absolutely need to reinvent ourselves... how can we do it?"... I keep getting asked...

Simple... Every Lebanese has the choice to do what is right or what is wrong in one simple breath.... Always do what is RIGHT... all the time... every time!...

To become a civilized nation, each Lebanese must learn how to become civilized... each action must be civilized.. every single time...

If you see an outstanding Lebanese person doing so many things for Lebanon... reach out for him... do NOT be jealous of him... do NOT allow anyone to knock him down to compensate for their own incompetence... do NOT fabricate lies about him... Rather do the RIGHT thing.... Support him... and offer him a powerful helping hand... not only by words... but also by means and resources!...

This is a very simple recipe to reinvent ourselves...
