Our Informal Lebanese
Gathering
Here goes another fun Lebanese get together filled with fun, laughter, hugs, kisses, jokes, good energy, "joie de vivre", and a sense of Lebanese community, something www.lcnj.com promotes amongst all Lebanese everywhere in the world... The best part was that I did not have to plan anything like I used to... The seed of "good" that I initially planted seem to bear fruit and Dr. Adib & Co. did the "last minute" planning.... and we all got together... how more simple can this get? Another wonderful part is that the usual suspects "created a wonderful Lebanese atmosphere"... God bless beautiful Ghada (aka Barbie, Shakira, Amazona, and Bassem Feghali impersonating Shakira), Carla, Richard (aka Ken) and Adib who were the true life of the party!... They were joined by party girls, the beautiful Yomna, Sena and Micha... and of course, Nabil... Micha's handsome husband Jihad and kids Princesse Ruba & Prince Rawad... as well as the beautiful Princesse Samar, Sena's daughter all joined in the fun sahra... Elie, Daher & Mona, Pierre & Rita & their Prince were also there joining in on the fun and the "awesome" dabkeh by Elie & Daher... Bonnie & Hubby were the inert eye witnesses to all this fun... :) Master Musician Roukoz introduced a wide array of delightful Arabic music with George.. and at the end, Nassif sang some nifty Lebanese songs... Carla, Ghada, and Micha did not rest until they gave the "Zaffe" to the Egyptian bride.... :) All in all, this informal gathering was a reminiscent of the good old gatherings we had in the past... and a continuation of LCNJ's ultimate vision of "Lebanese getting together with Lebanese" and nurturing an uplifting "sense of Lebanese Community" every day of the week "a la Libanaise"... As Mukhtar Adib rightly put it... "We were all like One big happy family"... the way ALL Lebanese should feel about ALL Lebanese... What we
needed were more members of our Lebanese family like gorgeous Rola, Nathalie,
Elie (who was sick, Get Well soon, Elie!), Danny & Tara, etc... to make a great sahra, greater!... |
