The Westchester Maronite Mission

This small Lebanese Community continues, with everyone's help and selfless dedication, to grow at an exceptionally fast rate!... This is a good Lebanese Community that is following a calling greater than the individual self-interest and quick intolerance of others.

On Sunday March 4, 2007, the large church was near full. The Choir led by Diana Fadel's angellic voice and harmonious arrangements was absolutely heavenly.

A true sense of community shines through each and every member of this good Lebanese Community empowered by the inspiring message of Abouna Jean...

Although I like them all, I have to give special credit to Roger Abi-Habib and his good wife Lilliane... and, most importantly, to the beautiful Hayat Barakat with her unmistakable positive energy and ever so welcoming warmth. Although many took part in the clean up efforts after the get together, I was touched when I saw Roger, this humble great businessman, with his large broom sweeping the floor.

Mark your Calendars for Palm Sunday Mass at 3:00 pm (not 4:00 pm) on April 1, 2007. A heartwarming event that should not be missed as our beloved Bishop Gregory Mansour and Abouna Jean will bring to that mass a synergistic flow of unique positive energy and spiritual healing.
